Thread Starter
so i was thinkin about upping the freq. on my NB.. first is it worth it? what will be the advantages? and second what do you recommend as far as upping the freq. and voltage like max.

Raising the CPU/NB Freq is always a big performance boost. Make sure you maintain the HT Link Speed at 2000 +/- 100MHz. Raise the NB Freq as high as possible (2600 - 3000MHz) Max voltage is the same as Vcore at 1.55v max, but you shouldn't need that much. Usually 1.35 - 1.45v is enough even for a NB Freq at 3000Mhz depending on your mobo and chip. You may also find you'll need a slight increase in the dram voltage when pushing 3000MHz.

As far as the question to how much difference it'll make try running MaxxMEM II benchmark at present setting, than again after OC'ing the NB Feq and memory.

I have 2600 for both NB and HT at a 1,35V NB IMC voltage(+0,150 in some BIOS-es) and i can really feel the plus in BF BC2.
A 2600 HT brings plus performance as well ,along the NB speed.
