This happens only in Win XP 32 Bit. I have also Win 7 64 Bit installed, VideoLAN runs flawlessly there.

It's only the audio, the video doesn't stutter. Other video player run fine(tested Real, DivX and Win Media player). Some of my video files run only on VideoLAN.

Any idea what the problem might be? Are there other players that can play as many formats as VideoLAN?

Edit:

I now lowered hardware acceleration to the third setting from the left(=DirectDraw-, Direct3D-,... deactivated) and the stuttering seems to have gone away. The picture quality though seems to be a little worse, the pixels seem to be a little more visible.
