If you can't find any AD700's I would suggest getting some Sennheinser HD555, HD558, or HD518s. Try looking on Kijiji and if you're near Toronto Bay Bloor Radio sells all the Sennheisers. I've got the 518s and think they're freaking amazing.

Edit*: The use will be mostly gaming and music (metal and trance)

They're great headphones in their price range.

I always avoided noise canceling headphones because they interfere with the natural sound of the music I'm playing.
