CONSOLE PORT!
They made it for the PC with the console in mind.
They didn't make it for the console and then port the game over to the PC.

The DX9 and no graphics option has nothing to do with the inefficient coding that is associated with porting. The whole controversy with porting is inefficient coding due to hardware difference. From what I can tell.

The GTX 590 Blows.
It overheats, has a poor power delivery system, can't deliver, and can't beat a 6990.
Oh they also explode

Yeah yeah. Please kindly remove yourself from my thread if you don't have anything objective and useful to say.

lol that smoke thing only happened because the people operating the card were using 1.2Volts.

590 and 6990 are ahead of drivers and game compatibility.
It was the same thing with the GTX 295 ..by the time games and drivers are able to take full or at least a fair amount of advantage of the cards and use them at a good performance level a new generation has alrady arrived

That is why most people skipped the 5XX series hype and are waiting for Kepler including myself
But still ...when the time comes and Nvidia has decided to actually support their product which has been promoted and advertised with much more love^^ the GTX 590 will certainly kick some game butt

This works for me: Go to your Crysis2\\bin32 folder and rename Crysis2.exe to bioshock.exe, no more flickering. Only problem is that after doing so my frame rates drop way down using Nvidia surround. My 2 options are to add Crysis2.exe to the Crysis Warhead profile in Nvidia inspector, then play with great frame rates but have to live with flickering. Other option is to rename Crysis2 as I mentioned above which gets rid of the flickering but no Nvidia surround. Patiently waiting for fix!

It's the typical ZOMFG ATi RULZ ROX PWNS LOLZOR !!!11!!!111 behaviour of a fanboy. Please don't feed the troll.

My first graphics card was a Hercules. Then came S3s, Diamond Monster, TNT2 M64, GF4MX 440 etc. I've also used a bunch of ATi cards in the past and all of them were top of the line models (9500PRO, 9700PRO, 9800XT, X800XT, 1950XTX PE) and I have both good and bad memories of them. I returned to nvidia with an 8800GT AMP! (best card ever made for so many reasons) and it stuck. In the modern age of competitive semiconductor business all it comes to is personal preference in the end.

Yap
I am sure he didn´t mean anything bad by it and to a degree what he said isn´t even that wrong but still.

At the end you gotta be happy with it
Dual GPU´s will always have a rather questionable reputation but what matters is the peformances that is delivered and that is just unargueably
It was the same thing with my card.

Getting decent above 40fps here on sig rig but I think it should be much better. I think crysis 2 doesn't use sli right. I'm pretty sure I should be locked at 60FPS.
