Asssassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Thoughts? - Page 3

Enjoying it to the max, the storyline of the game is interesting and keeps you attached to the game till the end.

I actually played AC2 first, admired the hell of it, I adored it (actually, I played it twice). Then while waiting for AC:BO, I bought the AC1 , played it but... uh, didn't feel like AC2. AC2 was a masterpiece.

Now playing Brotherhood, well, I _hate_ that they changed few of the icons, for example the 'click left' or 'Go forward'...

However, I totally liked the new combat style in AC:BO, oh and the remodeling some of the skins- some of them come off 10 times the hotness they were in AC2.

I love the amount Ubisoft puts into AC game, it's almost perfect.

All in all, it's one another win for Ubisoft.

Yeah, i am not a gigantic fan of Ubisoft, (or their past DRM-schemes), but they have done pretty well with the Assassin's Creed series.

Also, i am only on Sequence 5, and I have put more than 10-12 hours into the game already....how are people beating it so fast? I am actually taking the time to explore and get a decently high completion percentage as well...

I picked this one up, I love the multiplayer so far, the lag can cause some issues some times (warping) but its great and theres lots of content. I havent started singleplayer yet though, I still need to finish AC2.

The game was awesome, but I can't help but say that AC2 was better somehow.

Maybe because it was longer than this?

No idea, both games are awesome and worth a buy just for the SP.

Its a good game, but graphics are barely any beter than ac2 and its about 1/2 as long.

Also, its too easy. Its much easier than AC2 and ac2 was much easier than the first assassins creed.

Still, its fun there is still alot to do, just dont expect it to be as epic as assassins creed 2 was.

There are new units: the papal guard, the musketeer, and the crossbowmen are nice, the papal guard unit looks badass and carry 1 sword and a flintlock pistol, but enemies just dont do enough damage and being able to go through elite units consistantly with just one chain kill move is kinda lame.

If you ask me, assassins creed 1 had the best combat system in the series.

I honestly liked Brotherhood the most out of all the games in the series.

It had more mission variation, weapon variation, the graphics were improved (someone did a comparison thread on OCN and Brotherhood definitely has better graphics) and I liked the introduction of the Assassin Guild system.

It's all a matter of opinion though; it's shorter than AC2, but i felt like AC2 had more repetitive missions and less variation, and if you take your time with Brotherhood, you should get the same amount of gameplay time as AC2 to be honest.

As for the graphics...Brotherhood definitely sees a bit more polished and improved. Which one is more "epic" depends on the player - having beat Brotherhood tonight, the storyline, the locales and some of the things you get to do in-game made it far more epic to me than anything in AC2 (it also seems like the places you explore and the missions are, again, more varied).

Wow. Totally regret getting Crysis 2 over this.

I just bought this but still have yet to finish AC2. Looks like I wil be picking that up again tonight. I should have completed it before to prepare. Same thing happened with AC1 I had to push myself to complete it and in the end I did enjoy it. I think they just get repetetive after a while. Great gams still but I feel like I have to push myself to do the same stuff just to progres a great story.

I played it on the PS3 and thought it was brilliant, one of my favourites. Still debating whether or not to purchase it on the PC. Are there any differences gameplay wise (e.g. different missions etc)?

The combat is much better than AC2, however the crossbow did make things far easier and perhaps spoilt a little bit of the game play in that sense.

Shorter Assassins Creed of all but the one I enjoyed more, the recruited assassins a big nice feature, and missions are a bit repetitive, but not when you make 100% sync, that's some real challenge.
