Write is affected by the CPU and the architechtonic of the RAM modules. You cannot simply speed the process up by upping the frequency, at least not much. You can use a faster HDD, a faster CPU, or faster, by factory, RAM modules. The RAM controller also affects the speed.

I've found that I get faster write speeds by upping the FSB and adjusting the cpu (and others) multi accordingly (200x10=3000mhz vs 250x12=3000 for example). Also, try raising your NB frequency.

NB freq is the way to go.
The write times are what im stuck on

The FSB worked for me (for write speeds). I'm sure each setup is different, but mine increased by over a GHz that way. Of course, mine is up around 275 MHz from 200.

Raise your NB frequency.... that probably holds back the write times being at a low 1600Mhz

1600? Who are you referring to?

The OP (The Fryer) has NB speed at a low 1600Mhz

His board is only HT 1.0,NB multi is locked at x8 (1600)with AM2+ cpu.
The only way to increase NB freq is through raising ref clock(fsb).
I'm not sure the ram is running at 1066 as you say you have 4x2gb=8gb,running more than one stick per channel at 1066 it will default to 800.
I suggest you set it back to 800 and it will oc when raising the ref clock.
Drop you cpu multi to x15,raise the cpu freq to 214 for 3210 and run you benches and see the improvement.

Good luck
