[Time]12-Year-Old Expands Einstein's Theory of Relativity, Thinks Can Prove It Wrong - Page 14

I dont know if people realize but the "we use 10% of our brains" is a myth. That was an assumption made a long time ago because when they studied our brains, performed scans and what not they recognized that only sections of our brains were active (your 10%). But if you ask any psychologist, or psychology professor that is now not the case, we use our brains to there fullest.

EDIT: But as a pagan I do believe we have yet to harness the power of our MIND, there is a difference between a mind and brain... As goes with our inner being, the soul, or your sub conscience.

I don't know if you know this but that kid tutors college students. Just because he's esplaining textbook calculations doesn't necessarily mean that he doesn't understand the application that it represents.

I have an idea though, why don't you email him(If he's reachable by YouTube, I don't know) a curveball and see if he'll hit it out of the park or whiff miserably.

Except his IQ is 170. >_>

Although I do admit he did a shoddy job of explaining integration by parts. He may be smart, but he's no teacher. >_<

EDIT: He has a girlfriend. Girls will be his downfall, did anyone else see that Big Bang Theory? And Halo: Reach? [/facepalm]

You talking about the episode where they were trying to hook the boy genius up with girls of the teaching staff? Only they failed but he ended up with a girl anyway and they saw him in public and he was like any normal sub IQ teenager?

I love TBBT. Too bad none of them really knows what they're talking about.

Isn't the most famous part of the Theory of Relativity E = mc^2? Which has already been proven right? This kid is a prodigy, nothing more. By the time he gets out of college he'll have nothing.

Well, he's Autistic, what do you expect? These people can multiply 8-digit number..

But they lose most of what we have in our lives.

They're machines who's lives have been sacrificed for the good of humanity..

It's sad but needed.
Feel better now?

he's not a prodigy

he just spends his fun time doing math instead of video games that's all.

This. Don't you think off all the money you got when little and spent on stupid stuff? It wasn't stupid to you at that age but now that you are older have different interest, you do think it is. Well it is the same. When most of us were little we prefer playing around more than been in school. Well with this kid it is the opposite. Also most kids with autism develop a lot better on some aspect of life and have problems in others because of how their nerve cells connect and how synapses happens. Also if they find something they really enjoy then they can focus better than most of us and learn faster because they don't get distracted by other things because all of their attention is focus on that thing and only that.
