All in one Security system

Thread Starter
I need one with about 4 cameras and it records all the video to the hard drive.

I was thinking about this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16881377018

But I'm a bit unsure, any other ones that are in the same price range? They need to be indoor and outdoor. Also they need long cables too.

Seems alright, as for the cable length you can simply splice the cables to extend them to your desired length.

Alright. I will order it tomorrow. I just hope I can successfully connect it through my router though.

Cheap system overall. Hope you don't run into any issues.
Personally, I would go to a local Costco and pick up a clover system.

By saying "cheap" do you mean in price or quality?

that is a consumer setup so it is "cheap" overall in price and quality. it will do the job you need though. for the price i am sure you will be happy with the purchase

Cheap as in price and quality. Most so called "DIY Kit" systems are really really dirt cheap in both quality and price.
To make to right price for costco or newegg to sell it. Usually its the systems that is discontinued or that doesn't sell well that is packaged up and sold as a kit.

hmmm, so should I go with this one, or is there a better one that I could buy the parts separate?

Buying the DVR, Cameras, and cables will be more costly but you will have better quality overall.
