How To Use HDDErase? Reward!

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

I just reinstalled my new B3 P8p67 motherboard and along with that I would like to clear all my drives and reset them back to factory defaults.

I have literally been reading for at least a few hours and I am unable to figure out the process to do this. I have a 4gb and an 8gb USB flash drive at my disposal to use for any BIOS files.

The drives I wish to erase are:

Crucial C300 128gb
WD Caviar Black 640GB x2

I have downloaded the latest HDDErase 4.0 and put it on my flash drive but I can't figure out how to get it to run.

Anyone that can provide me a complete solution will be rewarded.

Please contact me on AIM @ Jnix28 to talk about my problem and your reward or post here/PM me!

I was going to do that for my HDDs but for my SSD i wanted to secure erase them so they run better.

Also, I have tried creating a boot disk with HDDerase on it and I keep getting a BOOTMGR is missing in BIOS

You have to set the usb drive at the top of the drive order and top of the boot order.

Are you having trouble booting from usb?Did you set the usb drive at the top of the hard drive order as well as the boot order?Did you switch to ide mode?and then try booting.Keep in mind you don't plug in the ssd until after you boot from usb.

I just did everything you said and still get a BOOTMGR is missing. Press Cntrl Alt Delete to restart.

I have a Kingston SSD 4gb and 8gb models and I have also tried reformatting them with cmd prompt to ntfs or something but I can't get either to boot

Mobo is p8p67 pro

Failing all else you could try Parted Magic http://www.pendrivelinux.com/usb-par...ation-windows/
I usually use that to secure erase ssd but from a cd not a pen drive
