you would probably be ok with a 750W psu but I would get a high quality 850W psu just to be safe. Look into the corsair power supplies. They are great.

Do not pay attention to Newegg's calculator. They have an obvious interest in you buying a more expensive PSU and their calculator is tuned accordingly.
Get a good 750W within your budget.

+1 for the 750w option. The only thing you won't be able to run on a 750 is a pair of GTX480/580 or two dual-GPU cards.

650w is fine for two 6950's. 750w is unnecessary unless you're going to unlock them and heavily overclock.

Two 480s would be a little too much, since they don't have the power management that was implemented in the 500 series.
