Raid 0 keeps losing boot?

Thread Starter
I just received my new intel SSD drives (2), and I have been having problems since day 1. I have the gigabyte X58A-UD3R motherboard, and an i7 920 d0 at 4.0v OCCT linpack stable. Ill fill in the sig rig section in a minute, wanted to get this post up first.

I have the drives in RAID 0 on the ICH10. System runs fast, installs are quick, load times are unbelieveable. System runs great, boots up fast a few times, and then after a few routine reboots (driver installs etc) system gives me some error (I will check up on the exact error code) and suggests system recovery (which fails), and then im back at sq 1.

Earlier, I unplugged the system for a few hours and let it sit there. After a few hours of sitting, i powered the system on, and it booted right up quickly. I dont get it.

Any insight>?

Ok so this is weird. I noticed that when my windows disc is not in the drive, system fails to boot windows off the SSD raid, BUT when the windows 7 disc is in the drive, system boots up. BIOS is set to proper boot sequence (dvd, hdd, other) and the hdd submenu is configured to use the ssd raid before any other hard drives.

EDIT

I tried running repair recovery from the disc, and it says it cannot repair the installation?

I installed/formatted twice and it did this both times.

This is what I would do:

Power sysyem off and disconnect power cord. Open the case and with care and good lighting visually check for any loose connections. Examine both MB and drive connections. If all appears OK disconnect all hard drive cables from the motherboard. Keep only the SSDs connected. Make sure none of the disconnected cables are shorting anything then turn on your system and enter BIOS to set SSDs as first boot option. If you are able to boot normally continue several times until satisfied.

This is meant as a troubleshooting step rather than a solution. Also, you might review the Intel SSD forums for similar issues. It could be something like a BIOS Flash.
