Depends on the game. If its something like GTA or an RTS then I can make do with 30 minimum. On an FPS or if I'm sim racing I prefer 60 minimum if I can run that.

An average of 50-60 is perfect, as long as there aren't any dips, any higher and it's just for E-peen.

i love about 70fps + i can see it drop below 60fps but i got 120hz monitor , I been a gamers a long time and notice the little things. so 90-120 fps is best.

should never drop below 20, average should never drop below 30. never use anything less than 1080P. thats the benchmark I use for my gaming rig.

Constant 45-50s on a 1080p monitor is great enough for my needs.

With no spikes and no dips, even 24 FPS would seem fluid to our eyes if it was a constant frame rate.
Depends..

I consider having 25FPS stable horrible. How do I know? By limiting my frame rate through the console in various games. Doesn't feel good man.

And sometimes, even if I'm getting a stable 60+FPS, I feel limited. While playing scout in TF2, 60FPS is just not enough. Since my screen is 60hz, it can't display more than 60FPS. Now, my CRT can display 120hz @ 1024x768, and that is bliss. If someone here hasn't ever tried 120hz, they should. After experiencing that, 60hz will seem like 30FPS while playing fast paced FPS games.

Single player games: 30 stable is enough to enjoy the game

MP FPS: 60+ or bust

Fast paced MP FPS: 60 isn't enough.

Also, that "24FPS is enough doood" thing is a big lie. Some studies show that human eyes are able to differentiate frame rates up to 220FPS...

It depends on the game.
For FPS games, I would like 60fps+ at all times

If it's something like Starcraft, 30fps is absolutely fine for me.
