Tips for silencing this?

I'm open to anything that is not too extreme (modding mostly)

CPU: AMD 955
MOBO: GA-MA790GPT-UD3H
MEMORY: 4G DDR3 1600 G-Skill NQ
SSD: OCZ Vertex 2 60GB
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Green 500GB
GPU: SAPPHIRE 6950
CASE: CM 690 II
PSU: Corsair HX-650
CPU HSF: CM 212+ (w/1x Noctua NF-P12 pushing out)
CASE FAN: 1x Noctua NF-S12B (on top fan mount)

So you can see, only 1 case fan and 1 hsf fan. Haven't tried overclocking that much cause it does everything i want, have tried undervolting to lower temps.

Main offender in the case is the 6950, any way to suppress this?

Good that you've figured this out. Naturally to quieten an existing system, you would systematically make the noisiest component more quiet, until you've reached your audible goal.

If you want to make it quieter when you're not gaming, then you can set up fan profiles to lower the RPM. You may have to increase your case cooling, or even ghetto-rig some fan inside your case pointing at the card, however these typically would be quieter than the stock GPU cooler.

BTW which Sapphire card do you have? If it is one of the cards with a normal looking fan in the middle of the cooler, then you can likely make it rather quiet this way. If it is the model with the blower (around 50 tiny fins) at the end of the card, then there is a limit on how quiet you can make it, so you may want to look into aftermarket cooling at this point.

this one

i'm currently looking into aftermarketing cooling that is suitable for my situation (2 slots, quiet, decrease temps, available in Australia)
