Core i5-760 Temps

Thread Starter
I recently overclocked my core i5-760 from its original 2.8Ghz to 3.69GHz. I have been running Prime95 and the max temp it has reached is 68C according to RealTemp. I am using a new cooler (Rocketfish Universal CPU cooler for socket 775-1156) and I'm wondering if this is a reasonable temp for an overclock such as this?

I wouldn't say it's the best cooler in the world, but considering the overclock those are pretty reasonable temps, and a helluva lot better than Intel stock (especially 1156 coolers. I wouldn't put those damn things on a ULV chip!)

Yea, I really wanted to overclock but I need a cooler and they had this at Best Buy The reviews on it were pretty good. I'm just glad to hear that those are reasonable temps.

EDIT: Just thought of another question, I put this cooler on yesterday, so after the new thermal paste sets will I be able to run lower temps and OC it more?
