Jolicloud 1.2 lags with Flash

Thread Starter
I installed Jolicloud 1.2 on this setup:
2.13GHz Celeron
512MB DDR400 dual channel (2x256)
nVidia TNT2 AGP card
Foxconn 655A01 motherboard
80GB hard drive
some CD-ROM drive

Flash lags incredibly. The whole OS slams to a slow crawl when a game from addictinggames.com is attempted. The person trying to use the PC wants to play Bejeweled on Facebook, and that game plays no faster than it did on a 12-year old, Windows 98, never reformatted 700MHz Athlon slot CPU with 256MB of 100MHz SDR memory.

I suppose it's the video card, the TNT2, that's slowing down everything. If so, which card should I get so that the PC can do flash-y stuff?

Thanks a lot!

I'd say more of a crappy Linux implementation for Flash.
My T5500 laptop lags on most flash stuff for no apparent reason in Debian..

I'm willing to reformat to make flash work. Which OS do you recommend for the hardware?
Eh I would try something running LXDE on a system like that. Lubuntu or Sabayon (LXDE version) maybe? These days Linux and flash work out pretty well, it might just be that your hardware doesn't have the best driver support for Linux.

Hope that helps.

Thanks! I'll try those out if my next plan doesn't work... What do you think of trying out a Radeon 9550? I think it's the 9250 but with some memory controller or clock speed difference. I'll give that a shot and see how it works.

Haha dunno man, old hardware isn't really my forte. I say give it a shot though. Might as well make an adventure out of this right?

Ah yes, nothing like old hardware running a version 1.2 of a Linux!
