Backing up Windows firefox with Ubuntu.

Thread Starter
long story short, I nuked my old board, got an el cheapo replacement, installed and tried to boot. My windows partition will make it too the splash screen the BSOD. Ubuntu boots just fine. So now I'm in the process of backing up everything to my external drive and doing a fresh install.

How do I back up my firefox favs and such? Would it be possible to just save the whole folder and just copy/paste back into the programs folder of the reinstalled windows? I know I should have set up a dropbox, and after this ordeal it's the first thing I do.

Look for backup bookmarks. Firefox keeps a backup file.

You wouldn't happen to know were that is. Search didn't turn up anything and my other option is digging through every folder.

The Sync feature in FireFox will basically "backup" all of your settings to a server that you can sync multiple browser installs to. I sync all my computers.

Try

Boot on up into Ubuntu.
Mount the NTFS partition.
Copy this folder:
WHEREYOUMOUNTEDIT/Users/YOURUSERNAME/AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/RANDOMGARBAGE.default
