Guys, as much as I'm sure you would like to argue back and forth to de-rail my thread, would you mind contributing to my question?

What is your GPU usage on both cores while gaming Crysis 1 for example? (Without vsync)

Honestly, with your CPU being @ 3.3Ghz, I think there's your problem.

So, I'm not to sure about that now. I mean, isn't Micro-stuttering and bottlenecking two different things? Also, I just finished chatting with another user who has an i7 950 @ 4.2 GHz. He's having the same issues I am...

Anyway, I was able to get Crysis 2 working just fine. I simply downloaded the Radeon Pro software, tweaked some things, and I was able to play the game just fine with pretty good FPS on Extreme settings, at a resolution of 5040x1050.

Basically, a brand spanking new game is running better than, a way older game like Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Perhaps it could be a driver issue that AMD needs to address?

Yes, can be

But again, can you try some game like Bad Company 2, Metro 2033, Dirt 2... And check the GPU Usage on both cores?

I'll see what I can do, I might be away from the computer for a while. But I'll see if I can squeeze some time in before I go.

You should be getting 99% usage on both cores almost all the time in Metro 2033, if not, we've got a bottleneck.

Although you've got a bottleneck there anyways for 100% sure, you should really OC that CPU to 4Ghz (You'd need a good aftermarket cooler), else you're wasting your HD6990's power everywhere

I actually almost never had any microstuttering prblems with my HD4870x2 and I'm very sensible to any framerate change, that is before Catalyst 10.6, since then every drivers either only use one of the GPU or stutter like mad (seems like 5 fps or something). Did you download the Crossfire profile along with the drivers ?

In terms of OC'ing, do I need to manual configure voltages? If so, is there certain voltages I need to change?

Also, would 33C - 35C be too hot for this CPU to be stable? I've had my old Q9550 a lot hotter and perfectly stable while OC'ing.

I'm not sure. I simply downloaded this:
http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles...lypreview.aspx

I then got a hold of the March 23 version. I made sure that "Application Profiles" where selected and installed. Are the crossfire profiles completely separate?
