I don't get what they gain from keeping quiet about DX11 until the day it's released a week after launch. Which brilliant marketing guy thought this was a good idea? The only thing they've succeeded at was killing all the hype.

That's my thought as well and considering that tweet, I'm even more confident now that DX11 will be make the game that much better visually speaking. Hopefully they work on the bugs as well

Assuming their CryEngine 3 demo's from about a year ago are accurate and what are in use, then it should be a big improvement. They just dumbed it down for consoles.

Why they didn't wait a few weeks to polish up the PC version I dunno. Maybe they thought releasing it sooner to the bawws of the relatively few PC gamers was better than pushing the PC launch date back to the bawws of the relatively few PC gamers.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a PC gamer at heart, but the amount of complaining people are doing about the graphics that are among the best there are, for dx9 or higher, cause it's not generations ahead of everything else, and totally missing the fact that this is a much better game in all other respects, and ignore that (or continue to insult) CryTek is one of the better (and few PC oriented) developers out there that continue to support their products post launch, is aggrevating. This hasn't been a perfect launch, I'll admit, but most of the errors I think are on poor PR decision. IMO the only real legitimate complaint I've seen is regarding servers/connections to MP games.

Get off your high horse, stop counting pixels, and try enjoying a game for once.
