I guess I could try that. Also, I just found some holes in the tray that line up with the remaining unused holes on the drive. I'm looking for some long screws to tighten the tray down now

Oh, so it wasn't even screwed in at all?!? No wonder it's vibrating like mad.

Nope, the trays just pop on. But I've only ever had this problem with this drive...

I wonder if my Drive is going bad? It runs fine, still 150MB/s read and write so Idk why it's vibrating.
Everyone here LOVES the Samsung HD's. I had 2 F4's in RAID0 in a HAF932 case. At night, when everything was quite, the constant vibration noise would drive me crazy. I sent them back and got 2 WD RE4's, which are silent. Am I ever glad I did as they also perform better. (with no noise). I also thought I was alone with this problem until I found this:

It seems to be happening alot more than I thought.

You might want to go to your local hardware or auto parts store and get some o-rings that will fit around the positioning pins of the hard drive trays. Even if the tray has some already look into some that use thicker rubber to take up more space. I've had that work with trays like that on cheaper cases. You don't want to use Nylon washers as they are too rigid, they need to be rubber.

I've also used some foam insulation strips between the drive and the rails to absorb some of the vibrations.
