What Do you think of this mediocre overclock.

Nothing special just overclocking my c2 unlocked 740. This is a decent chip but it hits a wall around 3.6 but my ram was running at 1700 with a 2600 nb.
So I re did my oc just using multi's and Im gonna start working up the Ht-link/bus speed to find my absolute max.
That is after I try 3600mhz real quick. Let me know what you think I should do next.
Also 57c is the absolute max. I also ran IBT earlier that day when the ac was off and the ambients were really high.

I would run that RAM @ 1600 8-8-8, after that try 7-7-7

Ya im doing that now. But maxxmem only gives it a small performance gain.
It will not boot at 7-7-7 or 7-8-7.
Any advice on timings?

if can not do 7-7-7 , stick with 8-8-8. Bumping up your RAM voltage and/or CPU/NB voltage may help you

Well my nb will not go above 2600 unless 1.5v is used. so im stuck at 2.6ghz
EDIT: Im at 1760 8-9-9 nb at 2640 1.5v and my cpu 3520 Blending now

I'm hoping the AUXTIN temp sensor are not your MOSFETs. Some boards AUXTIN or TMPIN2 are the MOSFETs.... this is a cheaper ASRock board with cheaper VRMs, and it makes sense that they run hot, so I'm willing to bet those are indeed the MOSFETs and they are running WAAAYYYY tooo hot to be safe. Pushing 1.5+V on a quad core on a weak unheatsinked cheap 4+1 despite the clock speed (and especially with tower cooling) is an extremely bad idea to begin with, but the extremely high temps here just further proves that you are putting yourself and your house and whoever lives in that house in danger. I highly recommend you return to stock speed now and lock to 3 cores for your own safety until you can get a better motherboard more suited for overclocking, or you may very well not be able to return to OCN again if you don't have another computer.
