For example, imagine you're moving your mouse around.
When it stutters, the mouse stops completely and you can't control the computer.
After a while (depends on the stutter, 2 to 5 seconds), you can control your mouse again.
It's horrible when you listen to music, watch a movie or play a game, because when it stutters (happens all the time), the sound gets all cracky.

Its not sp1 I had the exact same problem. Until I updated everything, allow all microsoft updates and see what happens

I did, every single one is installed.

EDIT: updated the first post (this also happens with Vista).

Not tring to bash your 4890 but on my 4850 i would see bad lag with everything, Update gpu bios. shoot while @ it up date your mobo bios too.

It's a HD4670.
Also, I have updated my BIOS (to the latest version).
It's not a problem of my graphics card because if I disable my network card, the problem is solved (but I need internet).

you said you updated the network card with driver right, have you tried safe mode; uninstall network card and reinstall it with the new driver? I still think you should try out a new network card and see what happens.

ya i dont update drivers via Microsoft on old ex58ud3r mobo it would disable it. But ya the drivers could be bad.
