6950 2GB is the best value by far out of the 3 you listed.

Just sayin'.
x2. Ain't that the truth. Two single cards in SLI or Crossfire are better than one watered down dual GPU that dosen't over clock as well as thier single counterparts.

Just a tad to much on the over clock on either 590 or 6990 and they either burn or just lay down and die.

I digress...back on the OP. If your not upgrading your PSU then just go with the AMD 6970 or the GTX 570. Even if you get an unlockable AMD 6950 you will unlock it to AMD 6970 which is awesome but you can over clock your AMD 6970 beyond that and still maintain your current PSU and get better performance.

GTX 580 is probably the worste price/performance card. Go with 6950/6970. Superior CF scaling + more Vram if it matters to you.
Thank you for setting the record straight, your prize...

Oh, forgot to mention. If your thinking of doing the unlock AMD 6950 I heard the non-reference cards don't have that option. Like MSI Twin Frozr II. It's a great card but unlockable. Read that from the ATI boards. Just make sure it's the reference cards if you do. Good luck in what ever you choose.

Let us know if you unlocked it succesfully. If not you took a step back, the AMD 6970 would have been my choice and then over clock it further. But if you get it to unlock that AMD 6950 is a great deal and will have been worth it. Congrats.

The 6950 is a good deal even without unlocking.

I agree just not more performance than a Nvidia GTX 570, for his OP question. If he unlocks it than it will be a good comparison.

Lol.... the 570 isn't even in the same price range. If you ever go eyefinity or CF, the 6950 will kill the 570.

Eyefiniity, 3 monitors? The OP dosen't have 3 monitors so your point is moot.

I was acurate on the GTX 570 > AMD 6950. The poster wanted to choose between AMD 6950 unlocked, GTX 570, or AMD 6970. I advised him go either GTX 570 or AMD 6970.

He could unlock the AMD 6950 to give close comparison, but could get better performance with other two and then over clock it for even more, that's all.
