If you want buy the Direct CU II from ASUS gtx 570. It has higher quality non-reference VRAM which allows thee card to run at higher volts out of the box. Other than that my GTX 570 HD from EVGA has been running strong with an 820mhz OC with slightly higher volts. I returned it because I decided to get a reference GTX 570 as the Direct CU II is too big for me and my PCIE lanes are already very close together. If I were you I would just go with a MSI GTX 570 from newegg and use the $40 promo. 3 year warranty should be enough if your VRAM's do blow if you disable OCP or put very high volts.

Have had mine for about a month now, Folding 24/7 since I had it installed. Just recently bumped it up from 775c to 800c @ .963v (VID) with 68% fan speed and its still going strong.

The whole killed a 570 thing is exaggerated in my opinion. I read that thread before getting my 570 and it didn't sway my decision.

bought mine shortly after release. Threw an oc on it with some mildly upped voltages and never looked back. I game on it nearly every day. Just purchased a second one that I am waiting to arrive so I can sli it.

Don't worry about it and get one already.

I got mine at the end if january. I only run an oc while i game after that i go back to stock. I also haven't messed with voltage. I get 825 core and 2000 memory with 0.988v and i am happy with that.

I bought my first one in early to mid December last year. It is factory pre-overclocked from 732 to 780/2000 and with default 1.05v. I have been using this setting since Day 1. No problem.
(I am so pleased that I bought a second one a couple weeks ago)
