Recommend a graphics card

Thread Starter
I have had my new build for about a month now and I am considering adding a graphics card to it. So far I must say I have been impressed by how well my onboard graphics handle some games I play (not at highest settings of course). Recently I purchased Battlefield Bad Co. 2 and I have to say my onboard graphics aren't cutting it. It is half way decent for single player but multiplayer is impossible to play even at the lowest graphics settings. I do not have a whole lot of money to spend on a graphics card so I was hoping someone could recommend a few graphics cards that aren't too expensive but will allow me to play Bad Co. at the highest settings. Also I have 4 gigs of memory (can go to 16 gigs) and I am wondering should I add another 4 right away and wait on the graphics card until I have a little more money or get the graphics card now and wait on the memory (I am guessing the graphics is where the bottleneck is happening but could be wrong). My budget right now is $100-150 (closer to $100 is better).

I would recommend getting a graphics card and waiting on the memory. My card does pretty good for BC2. I think I maxed out everything except for some antialiasing at 1680 by 1050.

What resolution are you playing at?

Same as you (1680x1050), at least that is where I want to get to. Basically I'm hoping someone can give me an idea of what brands are good and which ones are bad. For the most part I am looking on newegg.

I don't know if you saw but I have a slightly smaller budget than that (my whole build so far has been about as much as that card).

6870/6950 or a cheap 5870 if you can find one. Best ATI suggestions without breaking the bank.
