motherboard tray

Thread Starter
do you think it would be possible to make a custom motherboard tray

out of 1/16 aluminum with threaded stand offs with a spacing nut behind and a nut on top

the point would be a stiffer hold as well as helping to absorb the weight of the newer heavier CPU coolers

I think 1/16 aluminum would be very easy to bend especially if your using a "newer heavier cpu cooler"

You might be able to get away fine with large washers to spread out the weight.

Chrome or painted washers would probably look good. Heck you could even polish that aluminum and it would match chrome washers haha.
