Sandy Bridge Ugrade - Help!

Thread Starter
Hi Folks,
So i have pretty much decided to upgrade my AMD system to Sandy Bridge 2500K.
However i am really struggling with the MOBO choices. I am edged towards the Gigabyte UD4 as i have only known Gigabyte boards and happy with them. The UD4 is at the top of my price range. Not too fussed on the extras like OC buttons and the like. Just want a solid board that will OC well.

Any recommendations, or go with the UD4?
Looking to order today

Thanks for the advice

UD4 is a great board, i think they even have plans to update the BIOS to UEFI later.

I just made the switch from AMD to Intel as well. (Matter of fact this was my first Intel build in 15 years of building my own rigs.) I was holding off on the ASUS P8P67 DELUXE but the MSI P67A-GD65 showed in stock at Newegg, and HardOCP gave it an Editor's Choice Gold Award, so I went for it.

It's a great board and it saved me $60 over the Asus board in the process.

Found this thread here asking for advice on the two: http://www.overclock.net/intel-mothe...ud4-b3-vs.html

Cheers guys,
Went with the Gigabyte board. Only reason was that i have never had a problem with Gigabyte stuff, but had to RMA a MSI GTX570.

Cant wait for my doorbell to go on Thursday morning!
