Client v7 has arrived at last! wheee.gif

Complete Client v7 guide
SMP Folding Guide
GPU Folding Guide

For AMD users: To calculate your PPD, you must find the TPF.
Go to "Expert" mode, click the "Log" tab, and then average the seconds between each %, and fill this form. wink.gif

If something is not in the current guides please take a look at the FAHwiki.
https://fah-web.stanford.edu/projects/FAHClient/wiki

For those of you who aren't aware of the changes it brings, here are the main points:

• All clients (SMP, GPU and Unicore) now run through one client.
• AMD GPUs using the new client now have access to the new FahCore_16 WUs.
(When the initial Q1 date was announced, PG also said that Core16 WUs wouldn't be available untila fter Client v7 was released. It seems they've decided to release both at the same time. Please be aware that this is still a core under development; this is not the final core.)

Because of the way the logs are set up, there is no HFM support at the moment (nor Fahmon I believe, though it's possible both devs are awaiting release before posting an update). This means no PPD. However, I have set up a spreadsheet where you can enter the TPF (time per %) and credit values, and it will work out the PPD (AMD GPUs only please).

I'd also recommend that for i7 SMP users, you don't switch to this client just yet. We're not yet certain how -bigadv will work on this client at the moment, but will post something when we find out. wink.gif TC Folders, as you've been told, don't switch to this client until you get a message from me. I highly doubt you'll be able to assign separate passkeys within the client, so we need to see how things go. biggrin.gif

Yea it has a few bugs still, a v1.22 was released to beta than pulled cause of it.
Waiting for a few issues to be fixed, cause I still have to use the old GPU2 client.

hope they can fix the cpu usage when running ati i dont get why it needs to use so much cpu usage when you can run boinc stuff and not use more then 1 core if that and using the variables dont work on gpu3 even seem to make it worse.
