MH10 #1 - King Kong ain't got___ on me!! [56k Death!]

I came home to a small jumble of boxes YAY! Now to hide them before the wife gets home



And in the first box from Aquatuning.us was some Phobya Gummy Bears,which not as soft as normal gummy bears were nonetheless tasty! Also along for the ride was qty.1 AP-15, qty.2 very well wrapped Aquagrafx waterblocks for gtx470's and an SLI connector from AquaComputer. Considering these were ordered on Friday and shipped from Germany according to the shipping slip I am impressed!





The nice and shiny backside of the GPU waterblock!



From Newegg comes a nice lil PSU to power this disaster in a box!



And to end the first day's receipt of boxes is a small gift from Frozencpu - a pair of UN Design mounts for my soon to be arriving MCP350's!

And said contents are the beginning of my watercooling loop and a fan controller!

So it was the first one I opened...and the gummy bears weren't the sweetest item in the box



OM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM! 24 AP-15's! Around 16-18 or so will be a part of this build...haven't decided on the final number until I can get them in the case and hooked up to the fan controller



But that wasn't even the best part of the unboxing! a pair of XSPC RX480's and a couple feet of solid white Primoflex!



Can't wait for the case - starting to run out of room for accessories

A brand new Apogee XT ver.2 Block - I love the mounting system and the look so decided to get a new one for the new loop Also in this picture are the EK DDC Ex-Tops V2 for my MCP 350's and an IandH 175 Stealthres complete with fittings, clamps, plugs and barbs that were tossed in free!



I was so impressed I took a few extra shots of the res!

Also the mail lady dropped of some more FrozenCPU product.

3pin to x4 3pin Y cables, some more QDC's, and a mess load of assorted Bitspower compression fittings.

Had a very brief moment where I slipped home long enough to bring the case inside the house - took a few pictures but had to run back to school for parent's night!

Here is a picture from my iphone, placed the box next to the front of my Suzuki Grand Vitara for a comparison. The packing job was superb - I have only seen one company that is in the same league (and that says alot since I worked in logistics and international shipping for a while...)

*Note* the box is sitting with the vertical portion actually being the length of the case and the flatside facing me is actually the bottom dimension of the case.


When first unpacking the box, I was impressed by how solid the box itself was - this is heavy grade box (I forgot to check the UN specification but it definitely isnt the cheap stuff!) Two layers of styrofoam sheets all the way around to pad on all sides. And what made it super simple was that the Plastic bag that held the case was super thick and strong so I was able to merely turn the case on its end and pull it up with relative ease.







As you can see from the shape - this case is the height of a standard full tower or for better reference it actually sits shorter than my CoolerMaster Storm Sniper case does (even with the standard 4 rubber feet attached) by almost an inch and a half. Once I attach the casters that size will be negated this should provide a better reference than the Wii remote in the pictures below

Also notices that this is an MH-10 and is capable of fitting an SR-2 Motherboard (HPTX) as well as 480 radiators.



I purchased the Reverse ATX option for a few reasons. one was that I wanted to show off the case innards on a different side, turning the atx upside down will also show off some of the watercooling parts a bit better. And because I wanted to mount my radiators on the roof without using the extended top, reversing the motherboard would provide some much needed room to mount RX480's at the top of the case.




I purchased the XL window and it still looks small on this case! But the bonus is that the extra solid panel will actually hide most of the items mounted in the 5.25 bays from view. Also as you can note from the pictures, I have so far left the plastic on each panel until later in the build - but I did remove the I/O panel and power switches in order to have them sleeved.






Here are a few shots with a Wii remote as reference - unfortunately didn't have any DVD cases or soda cans in the house for size comparison purposes.




What I LOVE about every panel is that they quickly and easily come off with a little tug on the panels - this applies to top panel, front panel, and both side panels (which swing open). This is accomplished through the genius little stud and saddle mechanism on each panel which provides enough friction that they don't fall open on their own but with a purposeful application of force you can open them - far and away the simplest and still secure setup I have seen from the cases I have used in the past.






One other unique bit to this case was the amount of accessories tossed in. Not only was there a healthy amount of screws and other parts, they were all individually packaged and very well marked. I even loved the legs for the motherboard tray in case setting it up outside the case was needed
