Not posting any pictures at this moment since there is a lot of transition with parts currently and what came in today were some fan grills and a couple more Y cables that I had accidentally ordered twice!frown.gif . But I must say these few things about the vendors I have used in this process.

I am bankrolling someones vacation with my purchase of assorted BitsPower fittings and fitting accessories at this moment...

Aquatuning.us - ridiculously fast shipping for sending items from Germany, and best part is they have some watercooling gear that I can't find on stateside sites so far. Expensive shipping though so gotta make purchases count!

Frozencpu.com - not always the greatest prices but selection is phenomenal. The customer service is TOP NOTCH as I have called in to change orders within minutes of them being shipped out and there wasn't an ounce of cranky in their responses and help. Not to mention that I usually received the gear next day or second day thanks to New York to MD jaunt being short. Also ALWAYS gonna use their "pcapex" coupon as it usually means free or next to free shipping after the 5% is taken off biggrin.gif

Jab-tech.com - Good pricing on some items, wish they had a larger selection of what I needed though. Although their "facebook" discount code is nice.

Newegg.com - well it's Newegg... found some parts at better price+shipping here but not much since they don't seem to think watercooling is really anything to do with computers AMIRITE?!?!

Home Depot and Loews - Aaaaaah finally a GOOD use for going to the hardware store that isn't part of a honey do list... used this for miscellaneous tools in the modding portion.

That is all I felt like sharing for now - other than my disappointment at finding out I will NOT be able to run my MCP350's using my Sunbeam Rheosmart 6 as planned previously.

Added a table of contents in first post to easily find all relevant posts with pictures. Uploaded a bunch of shots from the unboxing - will have to finish adding comments and further pictures maybe this weekend, just wanted to at least get something up.

This thing looks even sexier than I thought it would! The shape, to me, is actually fairly attractive... wubsmiley.gif

Thanks! Sent out some items to get sleeved today so once all that gets back the build should pick up some more smile.gif

Note - I have switched all the pictures to imageshack now- hopefully that works better and is less confusing when checking out posts now lol...

LoL! Learning as I move along. Are some pictures just not showing up or are you talking about when you click the pictures the hyperlink to imageshack is borked?

I just looked and saw all the pictures pop up but didn't attempt to double click them all hehe... went back through and checked each picture and they all hyperlink to their proper imageshack location from my computer at home.

Can you explain what I am missing or show me a screenshot so I can make sure to fix it? If it is a problem with my using imageshack I'll need to know in order to change to a different provider. Thanks!

Day 12 - 08Apr2011

Well this evening after the wife fell asleep I was able to bring out my new mistress... err the new case. As part of my build log I hope to take an excessive amount of pictures. Purely for documentation as I would like to attempt to show some of the more intimate details of the case and the process as I fumble through it since I consider myself less than mechanically inclined.

But without further adieu, pictures of the MH10! *Note* Remember while viewing the pictures this case is a TH10 sized chassis in a shortened M10 height! (Depth of a TH10 to allow mounting 480 radiators and height of an M10 for smaller footprint underneath desk)
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

First up - the slide out motherboard tray! The spring loaded thumbscrews are a nice touch IMO

day12mh10build002.jpg

day12mh10build003.jpg

As mentioned previously, I went with the reverse ATX option to flip sides and orientation of the motherboard biggrin.gif

day12mh10build005.jpg

The slightly recessed motherboard tray moves extremely smoothly on its track.

day12mh10build006.jpg

day12mh10build008.jpg

day12mh10build010.jpg

day12mh10build033.jpg

Here are a few pictures of the motherboard tray removed. This is NOT one flimsy piece mind you. Also note the removable backplate to the motherboard for added rigidity.

day12mh10build012.jpg

More thumbscrews!!!

day12mh10build014.jpg

I chose the motherboard tray with 40mm fanholes since I wanted to add fan grills instead of a honeycomb pattern. My reasoning comes from experience with my CM Storm Sniper where occasionally when a fan is at a specific speed it would create a resonating sound when air was pushed or pulled through the honeycomb pattern. So I wanted to avoid that as much as I could in this build.

day12mh10build016.jpg

This is the removable backplate to the motherboard. Gives the tray a very clean look and feel.

day12mh10build017.jpg

Here is a shot of the motherboard tray with the backplate removed. Note this tray is created with HPTX motherboards in mind like the SR-2. Hopefully sometime in the coming year I can get my hands on a worthwhile HPTX motherboard biggrin.gif

day12mh10build018.jpg

This is a close up picture of the stand offs built into the motherboard tray on the backside. This allows you to add Tech Kit legs to the tray either with or without backplate so as to use it in a tech bench setup. As well as a picture of the legs themselves.

day12mh10build020.jpg

day12mh10build023.jpg

I later went and added the backplate backon the tray and put the Tech Kit legs on it so as to take some pictures of it sitting on my desktop. Deadly even and level in appearance - also note there is clearance from the edge of the tray to the desk.

day12mh10build024.jpg

day12mh10build028.jpg

Here are some shots of the internals. This shot is of the motherboard side lower portion, taken while the motherboard tray was pulled out for easier viewing.

day12mh10build009.jpg

day12mh10build035.jpg

day12mh10build036.jpg

This shot is from the motherboard side with the side panel and top panel removed.

day12mh10build029.jpg

Shot of the top of the case with the top ventilated panel removed.

day12mh10build030.jpg

day12mh10build031.jpg

This shot looks through from the rear with motherboard tray removed into the PSU side of the case. This picture shows that although there is room on the PSU side it is noticeably smaller than the motherboard side in terms of width.

day12mh10build034.jpg

This is a shot of one of the hinges for the side panels - you could take the doors off and replace them one handed with some patience.

day12mh10build037.jpg

A close up shot of the front section of the motherboard side with fan panel accessories and hard drive rack.

day12mh10build038.jpg

A close up shot of the saddles I mentioned which make taking panels off an easy job - yet they retain the panels with enough friction and force so they don't knock off unnecessarily.

day12mh10build039.jpg

A nice little wiring hole left in the top of the case to allow clean all internal wiring if so desired when using the extended top.

day12mh10build043.jpg

My case has RIMS!

day12mh10build044.jpg

Notice my wifes hot pink computer in the back lol...

day12mh10build045.jpg

Vrooom Vrooom! I like that the casters do have locks that aren't of the cheap fall apart variety.

day12mh10build046.jpg

Now this is nice - with casters installed this case stands only half an inch taller than my CM Storm Sniper without legs!

day12mh10build048.jpg

day12mh10build049.jpg

As big as the case is, it still is easy to place. I decided for under the desk and in this configuration it still has ALOT of space above it from the desk.

day12mh10build050.jpg

Here is a shot of how high my desk sits for reference.

day12mh10build055.jpg

And here is the money shot!

day12mh10build056.jpg

almost $200 worth of Bitspower gear, a Koolance Flowmeter, and a dvdburner for those few games I don't purchase on steam!

Please ignore the dust and pet hair - it builds up during the week really fast frown.gif But on the bright side, just purchased a Dyson Animal (vacuum for $350 hehe)

*Note* All build log pictures in the first post and the update posts are hidden inside Spoiler tags for quick page loading now. Make sure to click the spoiler links!
