MH10 #1 - King Kong ain't got___ on me!! [56k Death!] - Page 10

my old loop had a vortex, i had to keep the water level about 50% in the res to stop it. With it, i'd occasionally hear an air bubble sneak through. If it got way too low, yeah it could just suck all air.

regarding pumps in series, i usually see people put the pumps right next to each other. I'm probably wrong, but in my head I just visualize A LOT of turbulence, too much to prevent added healthy flow. I would think that distrubting the pumps evenly throughout could work much better, for example:

BAD:
1/2 loop parts <---
V
pump1
V
pump2
V
pumpN
V
1/2 loop parts ----^

GOOD:

parts adding up to ~1/N restriction <--
V
pump1
V
1/N restriction
V
pump2
V
1/N restriction
V
pumpN
^

Again I really don't know, and it's probably negligible anyway. But I would like to try and see cfm and temp metrics. Mathematically I think that would absolutely be a better setup.

Sorry for going a bit OT but for the EK bridge you can't use the same side for inlet/outlet?

On the install guide online they say just use one hole as inlet and one as outlet, they don't specify using two different sides.

Depends on the model, can't remember which is which, but serial or parallel, one of them is port specific (I think it's parallel).

All right, the only reason why I was wondering was because of their installation PDF.

If you look at the dual parallel, it says you can use the inlet as outlet and vice versa.

Interesting, I'd understand that for the serial bridges, but I'll have to look at the geometries again for the parallel model. I know there have been a number of people with issues from misplaced inlet and outlet barbs..

In other news, I was channel surfing today and came across Training Day just in time for this line biggrin.gif

Just got looking at your build. That is one nice build. I was looking at this case to put my g1Assassin in. But, I don't want to pay that price and have to cut it. Looking at your build, in order to mount the RX360 RAD up top you had to cut into the case. that is a deal breaker for me. Anyway, sweet build man, Keep up the good work.

To mount it internally I wouldn't have had to but on top it was a small amount. But - do not write it off completely, I heard Jim (Case Labs) was working on trying to fix this issue in some way. You may want to send him a PM to see what he has cooked up smile.gif

Thanks btw! Hopefully I can get past some of the component problems I am having and get it finished soon...

As soon as I posted this I got a PM from him stating he had fixed that already. i am looking at trying to pick one up the middle of next month and picking up another RX360 to go with the one I got. That means new pump/res. Any suggestion on a pump and res. I will be running a 980X and two 580's in sli for now, thinking of adding a third 580 later down the road as I am staying with the X58 chipset.
But I am thinking if I can mount a rx360 on the door and one up top I may not have to get the extended top. Looking at pictures everyday to see what set would work best for me. Plus I want to keep it quiet.

As I stated elsewhere I have 17 ap-15's in mine at 50% they are silent at 100% they are not very loud at all.

I used MCP350's in series since I knew everything I have was restrictive. BTW if you mount a radiator on the front you will not be able to mount a radiator on the top internally because of spacing. Unless you get an MH10 which is meant for 480 rads and just use 360rads instead - then you would have all the room you need.

IF you really want both rads in the same chamber, get a horizontal radiator mount bar so you can roof mount one rad and then mount the second rad on the horizontal radiator bar.

That is good to know. I plan on buying one next month, now is just trying to come to some type of concussion on how I want it. As far as the add on, mounts and all. I am glad I have plenty of time to make my mind up.
