It's not a console port by the definition you are giving. In my mind though it is a console port as we are losing Draw Distance, textures and innovate play due to console limitations. I understand there are limitatons in consoles but make the game for each platform and tailor it to the platforms strengths. Don't dumb it down due to one platforms weakness.

Prime example BF3. If it comes out as touted, the PC version will have a larger better looking version. We will have larger maps, player count etc. The consoles, due to either their limitations or limitations in FB2, have smaller maps and player counts. Design for each and it will sell better everywhere.

I understand and agree with you that the settings are more of what a console would use. I don't disagree. However that doesn't make it a console port. The claim of a game being a "console port" is thrown around loosely and inaccurately on OCN quite a bit. It was designed with consoles in mind, but was designed simultaneously for multi-platform on an engine that has code tailored for each platform, so it isn't a port.

The console gamers could say the same thing, "yeah, we're not going to deny that our graphics are worse, but we get used to it and it does not affect our gameplay"

When people say console port they don't literally mean a port in the technical sense. Would you rather they used terms such as consolitis or console syndrome or dumbed down console garbage? Lets just accept console port's improper usage and extended meaning when used in this context.

This makes me laugh! I mean really its a GAME!

Was it fun? Heck yes I had a blast with it, and many others have said so aswell! I didnt go around and go that texture sucks or that looks bad comon guys it was alot of fun and of course there will be texture mods down the road!

The draw distance is horrible. Was playing a couple nights ago and the draw distance seemed to be about 30 ft. Maybe it was the SLi?

Theres two reasons why I game on pc. 1. Is keyboad/mouse. 2. Eye candy and Im always behind on hardware.

Gameplay and story should be good no matter what platform the game is on so dont give me that, "graphics shouldnt matter crap." You dang right I expect the pc version to look better.

thats a good point, Console noobs always claim that their graphics are better than PC, So ask them to explain the "lowered" graphics ported Crysis 2!
