Q9650?? Core 2 Quad

What is my Q9650 worth? Runs stable at 4.2GHz I have been running it at 4050MHz to get the settings I wanted with my memory. Never needed any high voltage settings.

Always water cooled and kept at low temps with HeatKiller 3.0 LT and XSPC RX360. The CPU is the only thing ever in the loop. Check my sytem specs and build thread for further details.

Alternatively, I'm interested in buying someone's 790i Ultra SLI MB. Actually, I would prefer that. Would be much cheaper for me to get back running.

Can't help with the Mobo, but I'd say you'd get $170-200 for a Q9650

Yeah, I was also thinking only $200 as well. Kinda sux, but that's how it goes. The whole Nvida/intel thing pisses me off so flippin bad right now! I wish I could just find a replacement for my MB. Otherwise, I'm looking at spending $700-$800 for new i7 & X58. :frown:

Honestly Eyes, you don't have to go to an i7 to see a nice increase from your Q9650, at least for games that utilize 4-cores.

I was looking at what it would cost to make the jump to SB and its only gonna be around $525. Links to what I had anticipated are below:

Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4-B3 - $190

i5 2500K - $225

G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3-1600 2x4gb - $100

Xigmatek 1155 Compatible Bracket - $10
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233038

Total = $525

Oh yeah, your Q9650 should bring about $200-$225 depending on where you sell it

Thanks for taking the time to look that up, but if I decide to buy a new system, I'll buy much higher end parts than that. I also do quite a bit of video editing. I'm weighing my options right now. Not sure what I'm going to do. I have a lot of options at this point. I may give up on PC Gaming at this point and stick with PS3 and XBOX and just adapt what I have left into a good media center system instead. I'd essentially be combining two systems into one rig. Still kicking around ***...
