Wasnt sure whether to post this on the Crosshair IV Extreme members page or here under graphics cards......but meh, recently completed my first complete build as follows

Phenom II x6 1100t (O/Ced to 3.8ghz...little low i know)
Corsair H50 Cooler
Asus Crosshair IV Extreme Motherboard
Western Digital WD1500HLFS 150GB Hard Drive 10000rpm Veloceraptor
4GB Dominator GT 2133mhz
Gainward Nvidia GTX 580 Phantom Edition 1536mb
Asus ENGTX470 Nvidia GTX 470 1.2mb
Case: HAF X

anyway

the question i have is: if i am running my GTX 580 and 470 via Hydralogix (Nmode) does it effect how much i can overclock my cards? sounds like a weird question, but i overclock both cards to settings of which they hold a tempreture of around 80 degrees when playing Final Fantasy 14 on max settings... im seeing a few artifacts here and there, but all round, the tempretures are stable and the same runs smooth...... but, as soon as i click on Furmark to check the cards, it goes from 38 degrees to 90 degrees in mere seconds followed by my computer resetting itself, and looks as if only the 580 is working on furmark (asuming its not dual gpu compatible or somthing) am i safe to continue keeping my overclock settings? Game runs fine/stable Furmark resets my computer. 3Dmark vantage gets me a score of 26000-somthing)

GTX 580 Phantom 1.5gb

Voltage 1000 o/ced 1138
Core clock 783 o/ced 920
Shader clock 1566 o/ced 1840
Memory clock 2010 o/ced 2100

GTX 470 1.2gb

Voltage 962 o/ced 1087
Core clock 607 o/ced 775
Shader clock 1215 o/ced 1550
Memory clock 1674 o/ced 1700

Running Via Lucid Hydralogix N Mode

Thanks Everyone in advance

you can Oc your cards as much as you want and the Hydra will still work fine, but it doesnt sound like your settings are stable

thats what i was worried you were gonna say, i reset my cpu to its stock of 3/3ghz, i upped the ratio to 20x and it hit 4ghz and blue screened.... as you can see i dont know what im doing, so best that i do a little more research 1st.... as for the graphics cards, im am unsure as to how to proceed, gonna be straight with you... i picked these figures off another website as suggested by another user saying it worked for them, so i copied, the game works, as i move the camara around my character in a rich area i see a line about half way through the screen wobbling (guessing thats artifacts), then its appears normal when i stop moving the camara. do i lower game settings or lower my over-clock? how do i stabilise? GTX 580/470 with my current overclock settings idle @ 32/34 degrees fan @ auto. and load around 82-85 degrees fan on auto
