i got sick of the stock cooler so i took the bracket and did this with my NH-U9B with no mounting hardware - so i was wondering if this would work....

dunno about socket, but i think you should change air flowing way to up, not good to flow hot air on chipset and video card, then this hot air will go up (becouse its lighter) and cooler catch will catch hot air. another thing to put one more cooler on the top of your case for sucking hot air outside the case. it will drop temp good.

Finally some one that owns the NH-U9B either then me.

The socket is the problem... im just worried i did it wrong...

do you have guide how to connect it? Becouse the build this cooler with connecting to backplate, not to this black braket...
