GTX 580 Choices... - Page 2

I have that Galaxy in question. I love that Arctic Accelero Xtreme Plus cooler, and the MIR and Promo code make it a great buy at $435.00.

In Civ 5 with a huge map fully exposed, and 1,334 MBs of Vram with max everything, the temp never goes above 47C. Idle is 26C.

In Oblivion,( I know it is an old game ) at max everything, the temp is 38C. after hours of playing. I still use the auto settings on the fans using the MSI Afterburner 2.2.0 beta 1.

Hope this Helps.

Shamino got some crazy overclocks on the card under LN2 as well.
I've got a hard on for this one as well; The only drawback I can see is the 3-slot configuration, which would make SLI tricky and cover up your PCI slots. In return you get a quieter, cooler card that OCs like a beast... I'll be getting one when I finally get the cash for a new system.

Thread Starter
I am not a big fan of it taking up 3 slot but I don't think I would add another one for SLI but you never know

The reason for 1 card is that two can be a little power hungry (and doesn't help the electric bill) and I am trying to stick with one card but not opposed to two...

Totally agree this card is a beast for OCing and it's the best looking 580 in my opinion also I can play Metro 2033 maxed for hours without even hearing a fan it's like I died and went to heaven!
