I own the x-fi fatal1ty pci-e card. My question is I dont know to get the front audio to work on it so is it safe to put a 3.5mm splitter on the back to plug in my speakers and headphones???

I can't imagine why not. Go for it. Also. There should be a port on your sound card that matches the front panel audio wire from your case. Just have to plug it in.
