Best Sprint 3G phone? - Page 2

3G phones suck up battery as well cause if you're browsing the internet a lot and doing other tasks on it sure the battery will wear down.....by mid afternoon i use my car charger if i've used the phone a lot....

OP how much is your budget?

Its under 300, looking for the best value, but not really confined since I'll save so much on my phone bill.

The HTC EVO & Samsung EPIC are excellent smartphones. The HTC EVO 3D comes out soon too but I don't know what the price will be. I'm too cheap cause I got my LG Optimus S for free when they had it on a online special. If you get the phone online from sprint they waive the activation fee and it's free shipping. Check out the forums at Android Central on the EVO & EPIC.

I'd say either wait for the Evo 3D or go for the Nexus S.

But I'm not looking for 4G my topic was specifically about 3G only.

Just FYI LG Optimus S is now FREE if you buy it online from Sprint or you can order it from their toll free number.

^Thanks.

That seems to be the main 3G phone that people mention. The Nexus S is 4G only or is there a 3G version of it as well?

Why do you only want a 3g phone? If it's a cost issue get the optimus s, no questions about it. If not the monthly charge is the same for data on 3g and 4g so the evo would be your best choice.

All the 4G phones can use 3G so no reason to make two different versions. The only reason not to get a 4G phone, especially considering their hardware is superior, would be the price difference in the phone itself. As others have said you will pay the extra $10 a month with any smartphone. Also the data cap only applies to phone as modem and data cards.
