Is Crysis 2 the biggest disappoinment ever - Page 4

can't really tell, I lauched the game, had problems with multiplayer and stopped playing. once I hear a patch is released with multiplayer fixes, dx11, advance graphics options, i'll play it again and then tell if it's good.

Ok after digging around in the game cfg files and the recently released list of console commands, I have a suspicion that Direct X 11 is in fact already there for the most part, I think it was in fact coded with the game then turned down to direct x 9 by default then in turned locked?! why you ask? I have no Idea, but do a little poking around and I think you will see what im talking about. Perhaps there working on more grand features of direct x 11 i.e "Tesselations" and or some "ray tracing" before they release the actual (hypothetical of course) "patch"..All this is opinion of course but some hints of directx 11 are in fact in some cfg files of the game along with some console commands...

I wasn't sure and even held off on picking up my pre-order I had at Gamestop, because I couldn't decide if I was going to get it or just put the pre-order money to another game. In the end I went with getting Crysis 2 and although my expectation were already crushed from all the pre-release hate and bashing, single player isn't so bad. In fact, so far, I like it. It's definitely not the same as Crysis and Warhead, but I still enjoy the single player campaign nonetheless. There are issues and bugs that do make me want to gripe from the headache it gives me, but I'm sure you've already heard plenty of that from a lot of others who are frustrated with the same bugs.

Nope... a letdown from the graphics... sure, but there have been MUCH bigger flops as far as games go. Crysis 2 is by no means a horrible game. It is not even close to a masterpiece, but I'd say its far better than Crysis 1 and the last few COD games as far as gameplay goes.

This.

Farout! So many CRYSIS 2 SUX threads

seriously guys give it a break. its no longer funny or even appropriate. So Crytek went for the money. This has already been discussed hundreds of times on these forums, and I think I speak for the majority when I say enough is enough ~ and noone cares anymore.

I think Crytek made the right choice as a business to target the console community - because lets face it - thats where the $$ is ~ and hey a business is out to make $$ not to please a bunch of raged-up nerds

Well, Obama 1.0 was a huge letdown. I guess that's what you get get when you port a nub senator into the president's seat.
