NWN was not an mmo. It was simply a multiplayer RPG. There was nothing massive about the multiplayer, though. It was like Diablo 2 in that respect, as is the new Neverwinter. Just lets you create your own server that people can connect to.
In progress.

If anything TOR.

MMO's make me nervous, I spent 7 years on SWG, and while I don't regret it, I cannot see myself doing that again..

i wont argue with you, long story short, you are wrong.

your definition of MMO is quite off. NWN was basically the beginning of Graphical MMOs.

http://www.bladekeep.com/nwn/index2.htm Just a little info.

As for the new NWN you dont host a server, you connect to a main server and either join someones instance or start your own with your part.

You are thinking of the neverwinter nights 1 and 2 from bioware and obsidian, entirely different games.

Persistent worlds/servers aren't what most people hold up as MMO's agreed. Please start a thread on the new NWN if you have some special insider knowledge on it.

I'll be excited for a new MMO when it has a player population to support a subscription fee long term.

what. 200 players back in 1991 isnt good enough for you to call an MMO?

the new neverwinter is going to basically load groups into their own instance, similar to how guild wars handled things. So that each group gets the full Story experience, not to ment people will be able to build thier own adventures and share with the online community.

Sure it might not be a full open world, but that isnt the only thing that is covered by the mmo tag.

Not against you, but any NWN news besides fanboyism and speculation is new thread material. Source it if you have new news.
