New AM3 motherboard.... which one?

Ok, i was looking to get rid of my MSI and get a new board with reliable power phase etc. I was looking at getting the Asus M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 and it seems to fit everything i want Sata 6.0Gb/s, USB 3.0 etc... Then i was reading the feedback on Newegg and there are a ton of people with problems with the front USB ports shorting out the system. So i did a search and found a whole lot of people with the same issue. I searched Asus' website and did not find any fix or that they had corrected it. So.... i guess i will be looking for a different board.... I almost bought the Biostar TA890FXE, but it has no USB 3.0. I might just get that one anyway, but.....
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.... Price range should be $150 and under...oh and ATX only please!
thanks!

This is the same as the 890fx version (which I have) and it has been a great motherboard for the past year. I've OC'ed my 955 BE to 3.6ghz on it, and it can get to 4ghz for fun lol.

I take it you have had no issues with the front USB ports shorting out the motherboard? Which one do you have? The only thing i worry about is that usb port shorting out and shutting down or worse....

I have the SATA 6bps one, the first one that came out without the internal headers for USB3 but it has 2 on the out side. Never had any problems.

I would go with the Biostar ta890fxe if it were me. I just did a build for a friend with that board and a 955be, and it was very nice to work with. I was able to get him to 4.20ghz relatively easily (with water cooling), and it could probably go farther too. If the lack of USB 3 is a concern, then you could always get a USB 3 card in the future, I guess.

I was considering the same board as OP, as it is the only (cheapest) Mobo right now which has AM3+ support right now. The new AM3+ boards haven't arrived to my country yet.

And to add on top of the newegg comments, my country is FULL of bad stories about that board and not just some luxury front-USB ports, but having lots of crash/unboot issues. There are a few people who couldn't use all the 4 ram slots etc.

I wouldn't recommend that board based on many user comments. Especially if you are in the heaven of USA, where there are X kind of alternatives.

Yes to the M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 due to experimental AM3+ CPU support!
