IE9 and GTX 470 heating.

Thread Starter
I was watching temperatures for my 470 at idle without internet explorer up i get into the high 30s but when I have IE9 open it can climb all the way upto
70c IE takes up about 12% load on the GPU and because the 470 doesn't think its a graphic intensive program it doesn't increase the fan speed. with games like FS9 and Far Cry 2 I get to about 70C - 80C max! at 60%
Anyone else getting any trouble?

Im selling my 470 though as I want a GTX 580!!!

Interesting experience. I'll test this at home tonight. My GPU sits on 36c but I notice it goes up to 41~43 when I start opening up browsers (IE and Firefox). I tried playing with NVIDIA power management and it didn't change anything.
