Yea the Intellimouse is really good also. I have one at work for my second computer. I like it. I've heard a lot of professional gamers use the Comfort optical 3000.

Mamba is the flagship mouse, which is why I mentioned it.

I run the G700 and before that the Anywhere MX both great mice but i kinda miss my anywhere MX....Glass desk is a great mouse pad.

I wish logitech would combine the Darkfield tech with the G700

All I know is at this point in my life, I cannot live without the back/forward thumb buttons, I am far to used to them. Give me a mouse without them and it is like taking away my scroll wheel.

I use one of these at home and work, better than my old Diamondback in my opinion, still about $30 though:

I disagree. I can click test 80+ on my mamba but struggle to get 50 on a cheap mouse at school. I did the test myself.

It shouldnt matter what the tests say.

If you're comfortable with a certain mouse over another, use the more comfortable one. Pretty straight foward really smile.gif

i had that mouse, until it broke. i didnt like the scroll wheel and the buttons didnt have a very clean feeling click.

G5 v2 was much better imo. then i went G9. i use both now depending on the game.

optical is only better than laser if you dont have a mouse pad made for laser.

if you have a good mouse pad made for it, laser is more accurate as well as faster.

Could be..

But for me, optical is much more controllable, much more tame-able, I can get the cross hair where I want it, when I want it with a good optical mouse i.e MX518.
I had also owned a lachesis. Used to use an aluminium mouse pad with it and I hated the mouse pad. I used it on a cloth pad, Qck, I just could not controll it..

@OA
Well, before I bought one, I myself though what is all this 'gaming' carp, after I bought one, it was actually good.
