Well my cap officially states 150gb a month a there is a charge per GB over, but I have never been charged in my 15 or more years of service.

I'd prefer if netflix had a manual choice of what resolution/quality you want to watch for streaming, rather than auto based on current available bandwidth. My standards for video and audio quality are a lot lower than most, and definitely lower than what my bandwidth can allow. I'd rather have lower quality video/audio (or a lower resolution) that buffers much faster and doesn't consume as much bandwidth rather than maxing my connection with the highest available video and audio quality. I know others aren't the same, and have high standards for video and audio quality, so it's nice to be able to choose.

There's a "manage video quality" option for that in your account options now.


I got the email telling me this yesterday. I think i'll still have it set to HD.

Netflix may be saving Canadian users BW, but they're also saving themselves BW as well. But since they still offer full BW at the same price its fine by me.
