Dead Space 2 was released in January so I think we started the year on a high note.

I feel the same way. I haven't bought a PC game yet since last year (bargain shopper here) cause I haven't really been impressed with the Q1 lineup of games thus far. Sadly to say, most of the games I look forward to are on the PS3...

While Portal 2, Skyrim, Duke Nukem: Forever, Deus Ex: HR, Battlefield 3, and The Witcher 2 are all on my list, there's one game at the top of my list that all of of you are forgetting.

Saints Row: The Third. Words can't express how excited I am to once again play as the leader of the Third Street Saints and just cause havoc. A new city full of new activities, characters, and weapons is exciting as hell.

This.

You can't base the entire year off of two mediocre yet anticipated games. We've still got plenty of opportunities for the rest of the year.

BF3, ME3, Portal 2, Skyrim, Deus Ex: HR, Witcher 2, Guild Wars 2, Modern Warfare 3 (for those 5 people on OCN that're waiting for it ), FEAR 3, Torchlight II.

Possibly: SWTOR, Diablo III, Bioshock: Infinite, Ghost Recon Future Warrior (I have some hopes for this)

There's even more I could list, but that link sums things up pretty well.

The list of potentials is still big.

Released Games:
Dead Space 2 (January 25th)
Magicka (January 25th)

Confirmed Games:
Portal 2 (April 18th)
Brink (May 17th)
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (May 17th)
F.E.A.R. 3 (May 24th)
DIRT 3 (May 24th)
Dungeon Siege III (May 31st)
Duke Nukem Forever (June 14th)
Deus Ex: Human Revolution (August 23rd)
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (November 11th)

TBA Games:
Mass Effect 3 (TBA)
Torchlight II (TBA)
Hitman 5 (TBA)
Dead Island (TBA)

This year is hardly at risk of being another dull year.

Ah. I forgot about TW2. Ill be getting that too.
Games that are best played on a PC or only played on a PC ill be playing on my PC. But im not going to just keep complaining about not getting the support and quality I deserve just because im a PC gamer.

People complain about all the bad ports and consolization of PC games but keep buying the games anyway. If you want it to change dont buy the games.
Not many PC gamers are capable of taking a stand, so I see just about every complaint about bad ports as hypocritical. Im fairy certain its an inferiority complex of some type.
"Ill show those developer favorites. Ill buy that poorly ported game and prove to them once and for all PCs are better."

Until I see some balls and people willing to go without big games to make a point in the PC gaming community and not just complaining and buying the exact product type you complain about im going to spend my time on console and avoid the issue.

Skyrim can't not be awesome.

And I liked DA2, the only game I've got so far this year. Skyrim and ME3 are the only other two games I'll probably buy upon release.
