That H50 should easily get to 4GHz with good temps.

If you're getting a 950 go to the nearest Microcenter since it's only $200 in store.

May just upgrade to a 950 then since I plan on putting my 920 back into my P6T and making a new media PC eventually. Currently using my old Dell xp 420 /w Q6600 as my media PC lol. Just gonna give that thing to a friend in need.

Even though you only need a CPU to upgrade your system, I think it's not the best idea. I will agree with a lot of posts and get the newer CPU's and Chipsets. Sell the current system to offset the price for the new one. Who knows, You prolly make a little profit.
