connecting ATI to my laptop

hello, i have this laptop as you can see in my sig and i want to buy an external graphics card using http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

am i going to have take 100% of the graphics card performance ?

They dont make external graphics cards, though the idea has been thrown at them a couple of times.

even if that did work, I'd assume youd never benefit from the transfer speed of the USB throughput

Depends on what ati card you are using. (he's trying to make his own vidock)

Unfortunately not many people here have experience with diy vidock or vidock in general, so I suggest you read this http://forum.notebookreview.com/gami...periences.html
and post there.

am trying to put a desktop card to my laptop coz i bricked the one in my laptop. its not usb its though expresscard but i dont know if its faster or not. anyway i just take out my ati from my laptop and i would like to know if there is any cable from the pcie of the laptop to the x16 pcie to connect another card? also whats the size of the laptop pcie ?
