AMD 6950 1gb Single/Xfire Benches

Saying I'm impressed is barely a word that can describe how I feel about the 6950 1gb cards, and it makes me feel 10X better I did the correct choice and enough research about 3 weeks ago in buying a XFX 6950 1gb card (no one can beat a Double Lifetime warranty!), I saw this full report of Tweaktown and couldnt find it being posted here on the forums so I felt free to post it. If it has already posted before any mod feel free to close/erase this thread please!

http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/3942/amd_radeon_hd_6950_1gb_video_card_in_crossfire/index.html

You guys can see from the tests, that even in 2560x1600 is not even behind by much, if any, of a Xfire 6950 2gb version or even the 6990, though I was interested in the 1920x1200 res since I play @ 1080p.

For the price/performance, this 6950 1gb card is a clear winner in my book, showing tons of PROs in several reviews like sound, power consumption, performance @ different resolutions, temperatures, size, etc.

Cant unlock the 1GB version, 2GB version is only $20-$30 more. People got CF with these cards for Eyefinity or 1600p end every last fps counts.

yes Eyefinity is the major benefit of the highest end card, but my point was to show that in 1080p or even 2560x1600 theres not much of a difference or not any difference in most cases.

That is because only one of the games they tested have high AA/AF @ 2560x1600. The rest are 1920x1200.
