Case is a little slim...

So I have all my parts neatly tucked away into their new home. A NZXT Beta Evo, not the most beautiful piece ever, but have an artist in the family and he's gonna do a custom paint job for me, so I picked this one for it's large flat black surfaces. Anyway the problem has come down to my Zalman cpu heatsink and the 120mm fan that is suppose to occupy that space. This case is very slim, and another of the reasons I bought this was for the ability to have 4 x 120s and 2x 140s.

Anyway all that aside the question remains simple. Is there any 120mm fans anyone would suggest that I use?

You could get something like this, but really there's no need to fill every fan spot with something.

The 9700 blows sideways so putting a fan directly above it blowing down really doesn't make any sense and could even deteriorate case airflow

Well these 120s won't fit, and I currently have my Zalman installed pointing upward toward the two 140s which are going to be my exhaust. I suppose it might hurt the airflow more than help, and it's kinda nice to see the Zalman, it's definitely good looking. Who says I'll be making it an intake? Having an exhaust fan on the top side of the Zalman could be beneficial.

So I've seen some of these Scythe fans already. Are they the only ones who offer the 12mm? I might go ahead and skip it anyway, just curious.

Here it is.
I have two aerocool shark 140s on the way for the top, in the back right now is just a junk 80mm. All the pictures are in that album. Nothing impressive to look at yet, the side panels are off for their custom paint.

Well I suppose my original question was answered... But I'm not satisfied. Would love to hear some more opinions. Should I just leave it as an open air grate to let the Zalman breath? Should I get one of the scythe slim fans? Are they the only ones who make 12mm wide fans? All of my 120 fans as of now are set to intake, and the 140s are my exhaust. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see that the Beta Evo is slim. There is room for a full tower cooler above the mb and room for big cables behing the mb tray:

I use Gentle Typhoons for 120mm case fans. For my side panel fan I use a Kaze Maru - a 140mm fan with 120mm screw holes:

You can fit two Kaze Maru / Slip Stream 140 / TR TY-140 / Noctua NF-P14 fans on that side panel:

At top you can use whatever 140mm fans you want. I use a Kaze Maru, pointing down, because it is quiet.

I'm glad all your things fit, but I simply can not get the standard 25mm thick fan in over top of the Zalman. I guess I'm going to have to stick with scythe if I decide to get a 12mm thick fan, but someone had said earlier that this might hinder airflow through the Zalman. I think the final desicion is it's just gonna stay open unless someone feels like there would be a point to having a fan that close to the Zalman, intake or exhaust.

Nice looking rig though. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I wish all mine fit together that well. You can see pics of what I'm talking about posted in an earlier link. -Sighs.- Guess just cause you can have four 120s doesn't mean you should. -Laughs.- Thanks for everyone's opinions.

Sorry it didnt work out, I have used 3-4 beta evo cases as well and just finished a huge mod on one. My office computer has a true black in push pull and there is no way a fan would fit in the side top panel. But having no fan there allows the HS fans to suck cold air from outside the case directly onto the HS. So although you might not be able to fit a fan there if the HS comes close enough it will provide some decent air flow.

My airflow:

You don't need that back top fan.
