[RAD] Need Loop Advice

Thread Starter
SETUP:
For actually cooling my loop I am currently am using an EK 140.1 and a PA120.3. The EK currently has 2x Xigmateks in push / pull(soon to be 2x Noiseblockers) and 3x GT on the PA120.3. They are both outside of my 800D.

I am actively cooling the EK Supreme HF, Classy 3 block, and 2x DangerDen580 blocks. The pump pushing this is a single MCP655. The trouble is I am switching to GTX 590s and I am already pushing my cooling potential limit, especially in GPU heavy tasks such as gaming / encoding.

ADVICE:
I want to put the PA120.3 and the EK140.1 in the case, and without some case modifying it won't fit another radiator so it will have to go external, and probably push/pull.

With all of that in mind, will a single 120.3 radiator added to the loop help reduce temps (utilizing 3~6x GTs) sufficiently or would another radiator size be a better choice, and secondly can the single D5 pump handle everything?

In general, 1x 480 rad can actively cool 1x cpu, and 1-2 gpu's. I personally have 1x480 dedicated to cooling my 580's, and a 320 dedicated to cool my cpu-2 separate loops. In my opinion, a 480, or the equivalent, could cool 2x 590's, then you'd need a 240 or something like it to cool the gpu, or the equivalent of 6 fans cooling for everything. Push/Pull only improves performance 20-30%, so...something along those lines. Dunno if that helped at all.

yes a single rad should do the trick, a single pump might be pushing it, a second pump would be an idea, I'd mount the rad on the underside of the grill of the 800D with fans either side, as long as it fits, I know the 120.3 doesn't, but most more modern one's do smile.gif
