890fx sli hack?

Thread Starter
My brothers motherboard just fried due an overclocking session so he's in the market for a new motherboard, an sli AMD motherboard in fact. Unfortunately's there's slim pickings when it comes to sli motherboards so I want to know if there any motherboards that support the SLI hack really well and how stable it exactly is?

My brother is also considering buying this board.

I just upgraded to Sandy Bridge, but before I did, I had a Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 motherboard. It worked great with the SLI Hack. The only issues I had with stability was caused by updating the network driver. If I used the one that 7 provided, it worked great. If I updated to the latest Realtek network driver, I would get seemingly random BSODs.

Other than that small glitch, it worked great for me. If you don't have an SLI bridge already, I'd suggest picking one up. You can SLI without one, but only up to the 257.21 driver version.
